About J Leman

J Leman is currently a linebacker for the Oakland Raiders. He is passionate about football, family, his wife Katy, and most of all, Jesus. He has a desire to empower others to experience the grace and power of Jesus Christ, so that all people can know their true identity in Christ and the ability they have to bring His Kingdom to a broken world.

J is the fourth out of five kids born to Happy and Dianne Leman, pastors of the Champaign-Urbana (IL) Vineyard Church. Faith in Jesus was the pillar of his family, and when J was 7 he gave his life to Christ.

J attended Central High School in Champaign, IL and participated in football, basketball, and track. He excelled in football and earned a scholarship to the University of Illinois. While at Illinois, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication and his Master’s degree in Human Resources. On the gridiron, J became an All-American linebacker and helped lead the Fighting Illini to the 2008 Rose Bowl. Read J’s full bio »
