So, God made a Law (Old Covenant) which was based on works. Then in the "New Covenant" he had to kill himself to save us from this oppressive work's based law that he made in the first place. Also, our belief in him killing himself saves us from the hell which he also created?

This really doesn't make God look that good.

John,

Thanks for the comment. Really appreciate you checking out the sight. In the end, Coach Zook didn't win enough games to stick around and here what you are saying. However, this team was a couple plays away from being 8 - 4. I know close only counts with horseshoes and hand grenades but 8 and 4 would be better than every other season except the Sugar and Rose Bowl years. But I do hear what you are saying. Hopefully we can win soon at Illinois. I think we are all hungry for that! Thanks for your comment!

J,
I think it is commendable that you are sticking with your coach, and loyalty is definitly a forgotten virtue these days, but I'm going to have to disagree with most of the points you make (respectfully of course). First, your main point is that the program was left in better condition that it was found. I suppose if that is the baseline for success then Ron Zook has done a great job, but I susspect most of the Illini nation is looking for more. You also describe his first year to his last year...two terrible seasons both coached by Ron Zook. I'm not sure I follow the logic. If it is to say that Ron Zook's last season was better than his first, then i suppose that makes sense. But it seems like you are implying that Ron Turner and co was the reason Zook won so few games that year?
As an Illini faithful it has been very hard to watch Ron Zook handle himself and the team the way that he has the past few years. I feel a constant nervousness from him that seems to be rooted in a lack of confidence in himself and his general knowledge of the game. I agree with Dan's post above questioning how we are supposed to have a sense of tradition and constancy, without a stable coaching staff, but I think the vast majority of people had a negative opinion of Ron Zook for a good reason. He could not consistently win, his special teams were disastroud, he made game time decisions that were beyond questionable, and his lack of ability to keep score of a game when the scoreboard was prominetly displayed in the north end zone made the decision of Ron Zook's fate far to easy.

Karen,

Let me first say that I am sorry you have Turner's Syndrome and that you have not been able to have children. I have no idea what you are going through.

However, I don't believe it is God's will that you have Turner's Syndrome. I don't believe that God wills sickness on anyone. I believe that all pain, disease and sickness is from the Devil and that God wants you well, and if you want Children, He would want to give you children because he wants to give us the desires of our heart.

I have no idea where you live, but I would like to offer you the opportunity to come to Urbana, Illinois and get prayer from my mother who was healed from infertility. She has seen many women healed from the condition and has a real anointing for it.

Just an offer. Thank you for your note.

Sincerely,

J
